Budget Total: For projects submitted by universities and research institutes, the maximum municipal funding is 3,000,000 RMB/project.
Priority Areas: focusing on the key industrial sectors of the city’s ‘1030’ manufacturing industry system, including:
- New energy 新能源
- Next-generation information technology 新一代信息技术
- Biomedicine and comprehensive health 生物医药及大健康
- High-end equipment 高端装备
- Emerging digital industries 新兴数字产业
- New energy vehicles 新能源汽车
- New materials 新材料
- High-end textiles 高端纺织
Project Period: The research project duration is generally no more than 3 years.
Eligibility:
- The PI must be a current employee of the project applicant organization (with an employment contract signed with the organization) and ensure that PI can complete the project tasks during their employment.
- For applications from universities and research institutes, applicants must partner with a valid high-tech enterprise in Suzhou and sign a collaborative agreement. The cooperating enterprise should substantially participate in the project research and development work, and the project results should be applicable in the cooperating enterprise.
- The collaborative agreement and the amount signed by both parties are important references for project approval funding, and the agreement and payment amount are crucial criteria for the mid-term review and project close-out review.
Quota Requirements:
- PI from the university or research institute can only apply for one project under this plan per year.
- The PI of the application can not have more than two ongoing municipal-level science and technology plan projects.
